BRET
Dr. Bret grew up near Battle Creek, Nebraska where he enjoyed building forts, riding his bike, playing baseball, fishing, and collecting stamps. His best friend was his brother, and they spent a lot of time playing outside and exploring Oak Valley, a state wildlife area where they lived. They even had a little boat they could paddle around the creek.
Bret's love of music began with piano lessons. That eventually led to playing drums in his junior high band. Next thing you know, he's getting a drum set, then bass guitar, then acoustic guitar, electric guitar, ukulele, and harmonica. If it can be found in a band, symphony or orchestra, Bret would love to learn to play it.
When he's not String Beaning, Bret is the Worship (music) Pastor at New Covenant Community Church in Lincoln, Nebraska. He and his wife have three kids who sometimes help sell merchandise at String Beans shows.
Bret loves Marvel movies. His favorite superhero is Captain America, and he has three Captain America shirts. Bret's super power is solving a Rubik's Cube in 1 minute and 27 seconds. BOOM!
